Prayer boats on their way to Glasgow for Cop26.  We are all in the same storm but not the same boat!

Rise to the Moment – a journey of prayer and action in the run up to COP26.

A group of young people are carrying a boat to Glasgow where the government is hosting key UN climate talks in November. The climate crisis is a storm we all face, but we’re not all in the same boat. On Friday 8th October, groups of Christians will be walking from Ormskirk, Southport and St Helen’s to arrive at Liverpool Cathedral on Saturday 9th October to take part in a short act of worship ahead where our origami prayer boats will be blessed.

A Time to Remember Loved Ones

and Support for the Grief Journey

This online event includes reflections from various hospital staff, a specific time to remember loved ones and songs from local singers.

It is hoped it will offer support to anyone on the grief journey.

As part of the event, trees will be planted at both hospitals and the invitation will be made to families to come and plant bulbs of remembrance in these areas. The trees are going to become the focus of our thoughts for remembrance and, over the winter months, ribbons from outside the hospital will begin to be removed and some transferred to around the trees.
