The Bereavement Journey
Working through grief and the loss of a loved one takes a long time. The course is for any person who is bereaved, whether recently or dating back several years. Based on Christian principles, the course is suitable for anyone with or without a Christian faith.
Topics covered include:
-
Attachment, separation and loss
-
Death in our culture
-
The pain of grief
-
Adjusting to change
-
The faith perspective
Each evening begins with supper, followed by short talks interspersed with opportunities for discussion in small groups (please be aware that it is likely there will be around twenty-five guests on the course, and that each guest is placed into a smaller group with about six to eight other guests).
If you are hoping to run The Bereavement Journey elsewhere, resources can be found below.
“‘The Bereavement Journey helped me to understand what I’d been feeling was normal.’”
“It was good to share with others in a safe place.”
